Welcome! We are Larry and Diane Moschera.
We understand your horse is a member of your family and that finding the right care for it is of utmost importance.
Giving focused care and attention to each horse as an individual is an important part of our program.
Experience is what sets Second Wind Farm apart. We have been at our current location for over 30 years. We have been caring for horses all of our lives and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
We would love to have you and your horses become part of our family.
Facilites
Second Wind Farm has beautiful, well-maintained facilities including a boarding barn, large outdoor arena, an indoor arena and round pens. There are 87 acres to trail ride and condition horses on.
Services
A full range of boarding services to include full board and pasture board with grain options is available. Lessons are offered as well as equine massage and trailer repair.
More than a place to board my horse ...
Second Wind Farm is more than just the place I board my horse. It is my safe place, my happy place, and the one place I go to after those "not so good" days. I have been a boarder here for almost 10 years. Over the years, Diane and Larry have become family. They are some of the most genuine people you will meet and go over and above for us as boarders and for our horses. I have loved boarding my horse here.

Second Wind Farm has a family feel ...
We started boarding with Second Wind Farm in 2017 when we purchased our first horse. We immediately felt like we were at home. Larry and Diane took us in and made us feel welcome. The other boarders did as well. Second Wind has a family feel and atmosphere that can be hard to find. We are thankful we became a part of the Second Wind family. Our horses have always received exceptional care and we have peace of mind knowing that they are as well cared for as Larry and Diane's personal horses. I've asked advice on topics ranging from horsemanship, tack, and horse health. They've always been happy to help. Second Wind has been a blessing to our lives.

I knew this was the one ...
I moved to Tennessee in 2013. We were looking for a place to board my horse, Greg. We got referrals from veterinarians. We had three farms to tour. When I met Mr. Larry, the owner of Second Wind Farm, I just knew I could trust him with taking care of my horse. The vibe I got was it was a family farm and would be a getaway for me.
Fast forward 7 years, my horse is now 23 years old and is in the best shape of his life. He will forever live at Second Wind Farm. I boarded Greg at 2 other farms in AL and I can tell you they don't even come close to Larry and Diane. They run a phenomenal barn and treat every horse like it's their own. I travel a lot for work and feel confident that no matter what the situation, they have him safe.
